Two premierships in the bag tops off a great season of junior cricket

Pascoe Vale Hadfield concluded its junior cricket season with two grand final wins, topping off a season that saw all junior teams progressed through to finals.

Under 13 Girls team, jointly fielded with Westmeadows Cricket Club, finished their season undefeated, taking home the NWMCA David Woodgate Shield beating Greenvale Kangaroos 138 to 89 runs.

Under 14 (2) Friday night team defeated Parkville Youlden in a close match to win the flag. Coached by Eddie Madden and assisted by Steve McElligott and Steven Whitchurch, it isn't the first time this team tasted such success having won the under 12s title in 2016.

Under 12 (6), Under 14 (Saturday) and Under 16 teams also reached grand finals but facing tough competition, did not get up on the day.

Under 12 (1) and Under 15 Girls reached finals but were eliminated before the grand final.

Congratulations to all our players coaches, officials, volunteers and parents on a great season. It takes the dedication of many people to help get the juniors to this position, and we are delighted to celebrate this success together”
