EDFL confirms outcome from Allowable Player Payment audit
Further to the announcement on 1 March 2018, the EDFL's Allowable Player Payment Disciplinary Committee yesterday confirmed that Pascoe Vale Football Club will be fined for breach of three aspects of the Player Payment Rules relating to lodgement of documentation and the correct disclose of player payments.
The club will also be re-audited in 2018.
Director of Senior Football, Stuart Mitchell commented:
" The introduction of the Allowable Player Payment regime to the EDFL will go a long way to ensure the all clubs compete for players on a level playing field. By participating in the first audits, we have been able to identify areas for improvement in our internal processes and welcome the opportunity to undergo another audit in 2018. "
The club is in its final preparations for the 2018 season, meeting Hepburn Springs in its second practice match this weekend and Hoppers Crossing in a night game away this Thursday, followed by a Round 1 clash against Aberfeldie.
